Land Management

Earth Moving

Crop planning and management is not possible without capturing accurate data from your field. Use our aerial imagery capabilities to support analysis of crop health, and make informed decisions for planting, pesticide and fertilizer application, irrigation or drainage planning, throughout the year.

Every earth-moving project begins with an accurate topography survey. Our aerial LiDAR elevation mapping can achieve 1/10th foot precision. From there, we can add or create plans and provide clear estimates for the end customer.

How accurate is our LiDAR Survey?

Ground Survey

LiDAR Survey

We did a test to find out

The two surfaces were then overlaid to calculate the volume difference. The result revealed an overall elevation accuracy under 1 inch!

We performed a ground GPS point-survey, with 20-foot spacing, over a 60,000 square foot area. From this we generated a 3D surface.

We then captured the same area with an Aerial LiDAR scan, having 50 data points per square-foot. A 3D surface was also generated form this data set.

Cut and Fill of Overlaid Surfaces

To ensure the accuracy of every aerial survey, we always compare the final elevation map against ground check points. Experience has shown that our LiDAR mapping techniques achieve a 1/10th foot elevation accuracy.
