Golden eagle scanning began in 2024 after realizing the office life was not for us and with the hope of helping other businesses and farmers in our local area. Derek Workman who is the founder of Golden Eagle Scanning has over 20+ years of experience flying drones and model helicopters and has since been able to branch into the agriculture world, which has been a dream for years. Coming from an Electrical Engineering background he has developed a custom drone platform and a streamlined process specifically suited for local clients.

Our mission

The primary focus of Golden Eagle Scanning is to provide survey-grade topography data to aid in field tile planning, earth moving projects, and other related industries.

Our team

Derek and his Family moved to Iowa in 2021! We love living the simple life and raising our girls out in the country. Our goal is to make a difference in our community, to honor God and serve with the patriots of our great nation.
